| Customer Reviews: Gotta' love the Buddha's November 26, 2007 Christie C. Brown 3 out of 7 found this review helpful
This will be a gift, but she's had it on her wish list for ages, don't you just love the amazon wish list? She will adore them, they are heavy and made well.
Not What I Expected... June 2, 2009 Crystal M. Evans (C Evans) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
First off, the photo is a bit deceiving, these are -not- bookends. They are two rubber Buddhas glued to a black board where you can stuff a few papers between their bellies. The rubber quality to the Buddhas will allow you to put more stuff between them but it makes them feel cheap.
I was disappointed in this product after reading others reviews
Not what I was thinking May 26, 2009 B. Linville (Boise, ID) 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
I was expecting something more than this. I was disappointed in the Buddha faces and also the quality of the product. I think the reviewer who says they are heavy got a different product because mine were floppy and lightweight. The only thing they can hold are envelopes, and that doesn't help me much with organization. I tried to send them back, but there was a restocking fee plus shipping costs, making the only benefit getting them out of my house.
not a bookend! February 3, 2010 Barb Della (Portland, Maine) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I should have read the reviews before I purchased this product. I too was deceived into believing it could be used as a bookend... not only because the picture made it look like its made of two distinct parts but also because it came up as a top result for my "buddha bookends" search. This product was a lot smaller, much lighter (its made of hollow rubber) and generally much cheaper looking then I expected. The figure's features seemed smudged and indistinct. I was very disappointed and returned it right away. Honestly I don't think I would even pay $4.99 for it but at least that definitively would be a more appropriate price for this item.
Haven't received the merchandise yet. What happened? December 1, 2008 MM (California) 2 out of 8 found this review helpful
Obviously there's something wrong here since I ordered it over 2 months ago and it still hasn't arrived. Can't review it because I haven't even seen it. And I've already written to the company to see what happened.
