A $200 deposit payable to "Camp Indecon" is required with the registration form to reserve space. The deposit is applied to your final bill. The balance of your payment will be due by April 1 of the year of camp. In the event of registrant cancellation, the deposit is nonrefundable and nontransferable after April 1 of the year of camp.
Limited scholarship funds are available. To request a scholarship application form, send an e-mail with your name and postal address to our camp director, July Ackerman, at email@example.com.
Registration and Check-in:
Saturday – 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. (Mountain Time) on the first day of camp
Saturday – 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 Noon on the last day of camp
We prefer campers do not use the telephone during their stay (other than to call upon arrival). If there is need to contact you, we will, of course, make an exception. Information will be provided to you after you register should you find the need to contact the Camp Indecon Staff or your child.
The daytime phone number at the lodge is (719) 687-9038.
The campers will be divided into two separate lodges by age: 9 to 12 year-olds and 13 to 17 year-olds. Male and female sleeping rooms are separated by a meeting room. Each side of the lodge has showers and bathroom facilities. Campers will sleep 8 to a room with one counselor for every 8-10 campers.
Three hearty meals will be served to the campers. In addition, there will be a salad bar available. We are happy to accommodate special diets; please note these requirements on your Camper Registration Form.
Any prescription medications you send must be in their orginal prescription container. Please make sure the label contains the camper's name, the physician's instructions, the name of the medication and the dosage. Please repeat these instructions on the medication form. All medication will be held and dispensed by Camp Indecon Staff.
We think birthdays are important! If your child has a birthday during his camp visit, we will provide a cake for him/her to share with his/her new friends. Feel free to send birthday cards and any non-food gifts you feel would be appropriate.
We request that campers not bring TV's, video/computer games, GameBoys, or any other electronic games. Tape and CD players will be allowed in cabins only as long as they cannot be heard outside of the cabins and do not disturb other campers. (Earphones are recommended)
Your child will enjoy three healthy meals and lots of treats while at Camp Indecon. We ask that candy or food not be sent to camp; food attracts flies, mice, chipmunks and other animals and should be confined to the kitchen and lounge areas.
May children bring money to camp?
Money may be brought to camp for souvenir and snack items. However, the money will be collected by the camper’s counselor at time of arrival and given to campers at designated purchase times.
Colorado Springs is the closest airport serving Camp Indecon. We can arrange to meet campers at the gate upon arrival and transport them to the Camp. The cost of this van service from the airport to camp and/or return is $40 each way.
If flying, please plan arrival and departure at the Colorado Springs Airport between 10 AM and 2 PM.
If driving, plan to arrive at camp after 1:00 PM on opening day and to pick up your camper between 9 AM and 11:00 AM on closing day.
Camp Indecon is located just west of Colorado Springs, near the Garden of the Gods, the Cave of the Winds, and Pikes Peak. The area offers many cabins, lodges, and resorts where parents may enjoy spending vacation time while their child enjoys Camp Indecon. How are counselors selected and trained?
